Things to do
Explore the lake, the resort grounds, and nearby towns from one place.
The main event
Lake Gaston supports boating, skiing, tubing, and quiet time on the water. Lake Marina puts you on the water with slips on the Piers, watercraft rentals, and Marina Market for provisions and tackle. The beach and pool are nearby.
Striper water
Fish for striped bass, largemouth, crappie, and catfish from the bank, the pier, or a boat from the marina.
The quiet water
The resort sits on Pea Hill Creek, one of the lake’s famed spring bass hangouts. Songbird Creek is the prettiest paddle on the lake, and Lizard Creek is used by anglers and kayakers.
Dry land, worth walking
Wooded trails wind through the pines around the park for an easy walk near the lake.
Golf near the resort
Lake Gaston Golf Club plays eighteen tree-lined holes in Gasburg, about 2.5 miles from the resort. Warm up on The Back Nine’s simulators at The Field House, then go play the real thing at playlggc.com.
